Jennifer Rice, LMFT

Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist
Pennsylvania
Virtual Therapy

Why I Recommend Jen
I met Jen when I was an intern and she was already practicing as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. She was one of the first LMFTs I had ever met, and I looked up to her immediately. From the beginning, Jen modeled what it looks like to show up for families with humility, respect, and strong clinical judgment.

Jen has extensive experience working with children who were victims of crime, including providing in home therapy services. Through this work, she taught me how to be present with families when there are stark cultural differences between clinician and client. She consistently acknowledged those differences, centered clients’ cultural values and needs over her own assumptions, and treated cultural competence as a clinical responsibility rather than a checkbox.

Much of Jen’s work has been rooted in community based and high acuity settings, often with families whose lived experiences, systems, and resources looked very different from her own. She worked with complex, acute cases while maintaining ethical integrity, thoughtfulness, and deep respect for the people she served. Jen brings curiosity, openness, and steadiness into the room, alongside strong clinical instincts and a willingness to keep learning.

She is someone I trust for her judgment, her values, and her ability to hold complexity with care. She is also, very importantly, an excellent companion for Indian food and will forever affectionately call me “intern,” which feels exactly right.
